Dr. Adrienne Leussa, a native of Cameroon but residing in South Africa, is an accomplished professional with expertise in the life sciences and healthcare industry. She holds a PhD in Biochemistry from Stellenbosch University and is completing an MBA from the University of Johannesburg, both in South Africa. Fluent in English, French, and Portuguese, she has a deep understanding of various cultures and has gained extensive experience in navigating various business environments across Africa.
Adrienne’s career began as a research scientist, where she worked on various research and development projects for pharmaceutical and biotech applications. She has since held various roles in the industry, including lecturer, laboratory manager, technical sales professional, commercial lead, director for ecosystem partnerships, and non-executive board member of a couple of biotech startups.
As the founder and host of the Africa Biotech Conversations podcast, Adrienne has developed a deep understanding of the challenges and opportunities in the industry, as well as the needs and priorities of key stakeholders. Adrienne has spent 20+ years in stakeholder management across the life sciences and healthcare ecosystem and helped numerous organisations build and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders including customers, strategic partners, healthcare providers, regulators, patient advocacy groups, and other important groups.
Adrienne has since transitioned to consulting. She is the managing director of Sanilux Pty Ltd t/a Adrienne Leussa Consulting, a management consulting firm focused on helping companies in the life sciences and healthcare industry in Africa build and maintain effective relationships and partnerships with their key stakeholders. Her expertise in navigating complex regulatory environments, building trust, and developing deep relationships with stakeholders makes her an invaluable resource for companies looking to expand their presence in the African market.
