Tugrul Ozdemir joined Novo Seeds in May 2022 as an Associate. He actively searches for innovative ideas and approaches, that are capable of transforming human medicine. Within the core team, he works to build new companies as well as support due diligence and management processes of biotechnology companies across various therapeutic areas. Previously, Tugrul worked as a research fellow and lecturer in the Department of Pharmacology at the University of Oxford. He has extensive research experience, published articles in high impact peer reviewed journals and provided external consultancy to biotechnology companies and venture capitals.

Tugrul was trained as a molecular biologist in Turkey and the USA, and holds a PhD in cognitive neuroscience from the Medical University of Vienna.
